Cascades has announced a $15 million investment in a new tissue paper converting line at its Granby, Quebec facility.

The project aims to increase production capacity and meet growing demand for toilet paper. Installation of the new equipment is expected to take approximately nine months, with production scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The investment secures 239 jobs at the Granby plant and forms part of Cascades’ long-term growth strategy.

As Cascades President and CEO Hugues Simon noted, the investment reflects the company’s commitment to remaining agile in response to changing market conditions. More importantly, it’s built on the expertise and dedication of the teams who keep the operation running every day.

What this means for Quebec’s manufacturing sector: When manufacturers invest in their production lines, they are also investing in their people. Projects like this provide a level of stability that is increasingly rare in today’s market while creating opportunities for skilled professionals looking to grow their careers in an expanding manufacturing environment.
