CNC Machinist

Our client, a manufacturing company located on the West Island of Montreal, is currently seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team.

Profile sought

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in precision machining
  • Valid Canadian residency or work permit in good standing
  • Experience with CNC machines (lathe and/or milling machine)
  • Ability to confidently operate a vertical milling machine or lathe
  • Familiarity with Haas equipment (an asset)
  • Experience in CNC setup, adjustment, and calibration
  • Strong knowledge of cutting tools and their usage
  • Ability to read technical drawings and identify potential errors
  • Ability to verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments
  • Knowledge of commonly used industrial materials (aluminum, brass, stainless steel, etc.)
  • Experience producing small, high-precision mechanical parts

  • Ability to use computer tools for data entry and technical information retrieval
  • Ability to adjust machine parameters and correct production deviations
  • Ability to complete complex assignments within reasonable timeframes

Education and requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement)
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience (mandatory)
  • Ability to read technical English (an asset)
  • Bilingual French/English (an asset, but not required)
