We are seeking a skilled Conventional Machinist to join our client’s team, a machine shop in Montreal. You will be responsible for operating manual lathes, mills, and other machine tools to produce high-quality components according to technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Operate manual lathes, milling machines, and other conventional equipment.
- Measure and inspect parts for quality and precision.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines.
- Collaborate with team members and follow safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of proven experience as a conventional machinist or similar role.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of shop safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset but not required.
