Conventional machinist

Our client, a company specialized in high-precision aerospace machining, is seeking a Conventional Machinist to join their team in Laval. You will contribute to the production of critical metal components used in the design of more efficient, lighter, and fuel-efficient aircraft.

Position: Conventional Machinist

Laval (on-site)

Day shift: Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate conventional (non-CNC) machines.
  • Perform simple to complex setups on conventional milling machines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, tolerances, and work instructions.
  • Perform necessary adjustments, setups, and repairs.
  • Install, adjust, and calibrate cutting tools.
  • Measure and validate the conformity of machined parts.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools based on the required operations.

Requirements

  • DEP (vocational diploma) in Machining.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in conventional machining.
  • Experience with conventional milling machines.
  • Proficiency with measuring instruments (micrometer, caliper, gauges, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of CNC machining (an asset).

Compensation & Benefits
