The company specializes in the repair and refurbishment of industrial components serving industries such as pulp and paper, wind energy, steel manufacturing, and mining. Responsibilities

  • Perform turning operations on conventional lathes.
  • Machine large components up to approximately 30 inches in diameter and 5 to 6 meters in length.
  • Take and verify your own measurements.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Perform repair and refurbishment work on industrial components.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure machined parts meet specifications.
  • Work closely with a small, experienced team in an environment that values autonomy and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience as a Conventional Machinist.
  • Strong knowledge of conventional turning techniques.
  • Ability to work on large-scale components.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and responsible.
  • Strong dimensional inspection and measurement skills.
  • Experience in repair machining is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Competitive hourly wage of $30 to $43 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Day shift schedule:
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Abundant overtime opportunities.
  • Group insurance plan (50/50 cost-sharing with the employer).
  • Small team environment with direct communication and quick decision-making.
  • Stable, respectful workplace with minimal bureaucracy.
  • Permanent full-time position.

Are you a machinist who enjoys working on a variety of projects rather than repetitive production work? This position offers the opportunity to apply your skills to unique, large-scale industrial components in an environment where your expertise and autonomy are truly valued.
