Electromechanic – Day Shift

Our client, a well-established manufacturer of storage systems and display solutions for the retail and industrial sectors (including conventional racking, push-back, drive-in, flow rack, structural, cantilever, mezzanines, carton flow, and more), is looking for a Licensed Electromechanic (C Licence) to join its day shift team. With over 55 years of experience, the company has built its success on knowledge sharing and strong collaboration with its employees, partners, and customers.

What You’ll Do

• Respond to production equipment breakdowns and service calls.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems.
• Install, test, and commission new production equipment.
• This role is initially focused primarily on mechanical maintenance, with a gradual transition toward increased electrical responsibilities.
• Adjust and optimize automated equipment parameters.
• Document maintenance activities in the plant’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Electromechanics or equivalent.
• Valid C Electrical Licence.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance. This is a combined electromechanical position, not a strictly electrical role.
• Good working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Forklift certification is considered an asset.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to work independently, and a collaborative attitude.

Conditions

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Compensation:

• Less than 3 years of experience: $33.48/hour
• 3 or more years of experience: $34.56/hour
• Candidates with additional experience may be eligible for a higher salary based on qualifications.

C Licence Premium: $2.50/hour
