About
Our client is an established CNC machine shop with several decades of experience, specializing in the machining of precision components for various industrial sectors, including hydroelectricity, specialized equipment, utility vehicles, and mechanical component manufacturing. The team of approximately 15 machinists works on a wide variety of projects, with frequent part changes.
What You Will Do
You will perform manual shop work to support production, including part changes, drilling, tapping, manual grinding, and various other shop tasks. You will work closely with the CNC machining team (Haas, Fanuc, Mazak, Takumi) in an environment where parts and production batches change frequently.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks (drilling, tapping, grinding) with precision
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic production environment
- English-speaking candidates are welcome, provided they are able to communicate in French
Work Environment
CNC machine shop environment with low-volume production and varied machining projects. Typical production batches range from 10, 15, or 50 parts, with frequent changes from one job to another.
Schedule
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Salary
$23 to $25/hour, depending on experience
