Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

This individual will play a critical role in manufacturing operations and will be responsible for:

  • Planning and assigning work among team members to ensure optimal use of resources
  • Coordinating production activities, managing priorities, monitoring performance metrics, and contributing to process improvements
  • Ensuring that equipment, setups, and operations are prepared and meet requirements before production begins
  • Maintaining compliance with work procedures, quality standards, and preventive maintenance practices
  • Participating in the analysis and resolution of technical and operational issues encountered during production
  • Performing initial troubleshooting of equipment failures and ensuring appropriate follow-up actions
  • Coaching, training, and providing technical support to team members
  • Contributing to the evaluation of employee skills, performance, and professional development

Requirements

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Machining with significant manufacturing experience, or a College Diploma (DEC) in Mechanical Engineering combined with several years of experience as a Machinist
  • Strong knowledge of machining, tooling, inspection, mechanics, and CNC/manual turning and milling machines
  • Previous experience supervising teams within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to prioritize work, solve technical problems, and optimize operations
  • Demonstrated skills in training, coaching, and knowledge transfer
