CNC Operator
GENERAL PROFILE
- Candidate with diverse experience in manufacturing environments as well as industrial and commercial cleaning/maintenance
- Vocational diploma (DEP) in machining completed in 2020
- Combined experience in production, assembly, finishing, and maintenance
- Hands-on, hardworking, punctual, and quick learner
- Good physical capacity and strong organizational skills
- Target position: Junior operator / machinist or CNC operator
- Preference for day shift (mandatory)
- Desired hourly rate: $24+/hour
- Strong interest in returning to the machining field after a period in welding
- Open to structured production environments
- Highly hands-on profile with strong experience in production and assembly
- CNC skills still developing (limited experience but real shop exposure)
- Good foundation in blueprint reading and basic machine operations
- Significant experience in composite materials and light aerospace environment
- Good employment stability in manufacturing roles (long-term production/composites mandate)
- Available and motivated to return to machining
MACHINING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Approximately 1 year of direct CNC machining experience, primarily on milling machines
- Approximately 5 years in a composite/aerospace manufacturing environment
- Experience with 3-axis CNC machines (and limited exposure to 5-axis equipment)
- Ability to read blueprints and execute parts according to technical specifications
- Basic machine setup experience
- Drilling and manual operations on composite parts
- Production work on fiberglass and composite materials
- Experience in:
- Part lamination
- Composite draping (manual fabrication)
- Resin infusion processes
- Assembly of complex structures (aircraft doors and components)
- Part finishing and quality control
- Participation in machining equipment maintenance
- Introductory training in programming (Mastercam)
OTHER INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
Warehouse experience:
- Loading/unloading trucks
- Forklift operation (expired certification)
- Inventory control
- Inspection of goods and reporting of anomalies
- Product packaging and shipping
Commercial and industrial cleaning/maintenance experience:
- Post-construction and post-disaster cleaning
- Deep cleaning and regular building maintenance
- Window cleaning and full disinfection
- Quality inspection of cleaned sites
- On-site payment collection (field customer service)
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- DEP in Machining (2020) – vocational training center in Montérégie
- PDSB training and elderly care assistance
- First aid and workplace CPR training
- Forklift operator card (expired)
