CNC Machinist

Our client, a precision machining company located in the Sorel-Tracy area, is currently seeking three CNC Machinists for its evening shift (Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM). The company specializes in manufacturing components for the energy, transportation, and heavy industrial sectors. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on specialized equipment such as CNC vertical lathes, multitasking turning centers, and large-scale vertical machining centers. This is a hands-on, autonomous role where machinists are responsible for their own setups, participate in in-process quality inspections, and contribute to the production of high-precision components in a modern and well-organized manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, machining process sheets, and work instructions.
• Prepare, install, and adjust fixtures, tooling, and workpieces.
• Perform machining operations according to production priorities, established methods, and quality standards.
• Optimize cutting parameters based on production requirements.
• Verify part conformity using appropriate measuring instruments.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Schedule

• Evening shift: Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM.

Qualifications

• DEP in Machining Techniques, CNC Machining, or equivalent training.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC machines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to quality, accuracy, and detail.
