Our client, a company specialized in high-precision aerospace machining, is seeking a Conventional Machinist to join their team in Laval. You will contribute to the production of critical metal components used in the design of more efficient, lighter, and fuel-efficient aircraft.

Overview: Conventional + CNC Machinist
- Located in Laval
- Evening shift, with daytime training provided
- The role mainly involves operating 3-axis machines, with no setup responsibilities
- The parts machined are primarily aluminum castings, and inspection is handled by a separate department.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate conventional (non-CNC) machines.
- Perform simple to complex setups on conventional milling machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, tolerances, and work instructions.
- Perform necessary adjustments, setups, and repairs.
- Install, adjust, and calibrate cutting tools.
- Measure and validate the conformity of machined parts.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams.
- Select appropriate cutting tools based on the required operations.

Requirements
- DEP (vocational diploma) in Machining.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in conventional machining.
- Experience with conventional milling machines.
- Proficiency with measuring instruments (micrometer, caliper, gauges, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of CNC machining (an asset).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $30 to $32 per hour
