DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Application and infrastructure planning, testing and development

• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, and select the appropriate tools for the job

• Automation implementation in the context of Continuous Improvement and Continuous Integration

• On-call, incident response and incident management

• Monitor key infrastructure metrics, and implement actionable monitoring solutions

• • I.e. Monitor, and provide continuous critical feedback for MySQL, redis, Azure App services, etc.

• Cooperate with the entire development & engineering team to build highly observable and reliable systems

You currently have/are:

• Specialized higher education in Computer Science, IT or System Administration with proven experience in DevOps

• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Linux infrastructure

• Excellent knowledge of more than one of the following tools/technologies: Python, Bash, JavaScript (Node.js),

Perl, Ruby, Go, Terraform, Ansible

• Thorough knowledge of database configuration for MySQL 8 and MongoDB

• • (Optional) Familiar with Azure Cosmos DB

• Broad understanding of tools and technologies relevant to DevOps, i.e.:

• • Docker containers
• • Source control
• • Continuous Integration tools
• • Infrastructure Automation
• • Deployment Automation and Orchestration
• • Cloud computing services (primarily Azure)

• Solid foundations in networking, security, and with an interest in DevSecOps

• Eager to set things up from scratch with industry best practices in mind

• Keen to be a key enabler for the entire team to work faster, better and release code more frequently

• Strong analytical and collaborative skills

• Familiar with NewRelic monitoring tools (or similar solutions, such as Datadog, Dynatrace, etc.)
