Jr / Int .NET Developer

We're currently looking for a junior .NET / C# software engineer for a client of ours, a Montreal based company specialized in the transport industry.


Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the IT Manager of Applications, the Senior Software Engineer will work on a close-knit team using agile development practices to
develop the next generation logistics platform.

Work closely with product managers and domain experts to distill complex business problems into elegant technical solutions
Design flexible and maintainable code
Responsible for building, testing, deploying, and running solutions using a continuous delivery approach
Participate in design and peer reviews
Work with the IT team to review problems, define and test solutions
Participate in the development of architectural framework and design
Proactive approach to finding solutions and managing problems
Proactively identify areas for improvement, seek solutions and make recommendations
Remain up to date of development technologies, both current and future
Other related duties, as assigned by the immediate supervisor



Position Requirements

Knowledge of professional software engineering practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control, continuous integration, auto
mated testing, automated deployments and application performance monitoring
Minimum of 1 year of experience developing software applications
Experience with the Microsoft .NET development stack (C#, ASP.NET)
Experience writing SQL queries against Microsoft SQL Server
Experience with HTML and CSS.
Experience working in the logistics or supply chain industries a plus
