Senior .NET Developer

We're currently looking for a senior .NET / C# software engineer for a client of ours, a Montreal based company specialized in the transport industry.

Main Responsibilities Reporting to the IT Manager of Applications, the Senior Software Engineer will work on a close-knit team using agile development practices to develo p the next generation logistics platform.

Work closely with product managers and domain experts to distill complex business problems into elegant technical solutions Design flexible and maintainable code Responsible for building, testing, deploying, and running solutions using a continuous delivery approach Conduct design and peer reviews Work with the IT team to review problems, define and test solutions Exercise leadership through superior technical and domain knowledge Participate in the development of architectural framework and design Evaluate and introduce new tools and techniques to the development team Proactive approach to finding solutions and managing problems Proactively identify areas for improvement, seek solutions and make recommendations Remain up to date of development technologies, both current and future Other related duties, as assigned by the immediate supervisor

Position Requirements

Knowledge of professional software engineering practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control, continuous integration, auto mated testing, automated deployments and application performance monitoring Minimum of 5 years of experience developing software applications Deep experience with enterprise software development using the Microsoft .NET development stack (C#, ASP.NET MVC and Web APIs, Entity Fra mework) Deep experience developing against Microsoft SQL Server as the back-end database (TSQL and stored procedures) Solid experience with HTML and CSS. Familiarity with JavaScript Familiarity with Azure cloud deployments a plus Experience working in the logistics or supply chain industries a plus
