Machinist – Milling / Boring

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Machinist specializing in milling and/or boring operations to join our production team. The ideal candidate is a skilled tradesperson with strong hands-on experience in precision machining and a solid understanding of industrial manufacturing environments.

This position involves initial training on the day shift, followed by a transition to the evening shift.


Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up CNC and/or conventional machines for milling and boring operations
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications
  • Ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards
  • Perform routine machine adjustments and basic maintenance
  • Conduct quality checks using precision measuring tools
  • Follow production schedules and maintain efficiency targets
  • Work collaboratively with production and quality teams

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a machinist (milling and/or boring)
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and metal cutting operations
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Familiarity with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset

Work Schedule

  • Initial training on day shift
  • Transition to evening shift after training period
