Our client, a well-established company specializing in precision machining for the mining and forestry industries, is currently seeking a CNC Machinist to join their dynamic team in Abitibi.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of drilling components made from brass, steel, and stainless steel in a performance-driven, quality-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Program and operate CNC machines with FANUC controls
- Perform your own setups and machine configurations
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Determine machining operations required
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality of produced parts
- Inspect machined parts according to established standards
- Work on 3-axis machines
Desired Profile:
- DEP in Machining Techniques or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial machining experience
- Strong ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
- Experience with FANUC controls
- Autonomous, detail-oriented, and team-focused
- Ability to work in a performance-driven environment
