Siemens Expands Its Drummondville Plant and Creates 40 Jobs
A Strong Signal for Central Quebec
On June 10, 2026, Siemens Canada officially celebrated the completion of a major expansion project at its Drummondville manufacturing facility. The $14 million investment, including a $5.6 million loan from the Government of Quebec, represents one of the most significant industrial commitments recently announced in the Centre-du-Québec region.
The expansion includes the opening of a second location in Drummondville, the addition of more than 40,000 square feet of production space, and the integration of new digital and automation technologies. Approximately 40 new jobs have been created, bringing the site’s total workforce to nearly 400 employees.
Siemens Canada has operated in Drummondville for more than 50 years, manufacturing load centres, electrical panels, and switchboards using Canadian steel.
What This Says About the Market
When a manufacturer the size of Siemens expands its footprint and modernizes its operations, it does not only create management positions. It generates real demand for production workers, technical staff, supervisors, and skilled trades professionals.
At a time when many Quebec manufacturers are struggling to find qualified candidates, this type of expansion sends a clear message to workers in the industry: companies that invest in their facilities are often the same companies that have the resources to invest in their people.
For manufacturing professionals in the greater Drummondville area, and for those considering relocating to the region, this is an opportunity worth serious consideration.
Open Positions at Siemens Drummondville
At the time of publication, Siemens listed more than 22 active openings at its Drummondville facility, covering a wide range of roles, from production operators and industrial engineers to supervisors and managers.

Why Manufacturing Candidates Should Pay Attention
For workers in Drummondville, Victoriaville, Nicolet, and Saint-Hyacinthe, Siemens is also an employer that offers tangible benefits, including profit sharing, employee discounts on Siemens products, and for many positions, flexible start and end times.
This level of stability is uncommon. In a market where employee retention remains one of the most frequently cited challenges among Quebec manufacturers, working for a company that has just invested $14 million into its own facility sends a different kind of signal.
