Industrial Mechanic – Evening Shift

Our client, a well-established manufacturer of storage systems and display solutions for the retail and industrial sectors (including conventional racking, push-back, drive-in, flow rack, structural, cantilever, mezzanines, carton flow, and more), is looking for an Industrial Mechanic to join its evening shift team. With over 55 years of experience, the company has built its success on knowledge sharing and strong collaboration with its employees, partners, and customers.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, including lubrication, adjustments, and component replacement.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential issues before they become failures.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns of moderate complexity in collaboration with the maintenance team.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment under supervision.
• Perform basic machining and welding tasks as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance best practices.
• Document all maintenance activities in the plant’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Industrial Mechanics or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
• Overhead crane, rigging/slinging, or aerial lift certification is considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work effectively under pressure.

Working Conditions

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Compensation:

• Less than 3 years of experience: $31.32/hour
• 3 to 5 years of experience: $33.48/hour
• Candidates with more experience may be eligible for a higher salary based on qualifications.

Evening Shift Premium: $1.50/hour
