CNC Machinist – 4-Axis Machining Center
Our client, a machining shop located on the South Shore of Montreal (Longueuil area), is currently looking for a CNC machinist to join their production team.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Production Manager, the CNC machinist is responsible for machining precision parts using machining centers, including 4-axis equipment.
More specifically, you will:
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Plan operation sequences and select appropriate tooling
- Perform machine setups and operate CNC machines for both one-off and production parts
- Carry out machining operations such as milling, drilling, boring, and other processes
- Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications
- Make necessary adjustments during production
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize processes
Profile
Requirements
- DEP in machining or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years in a similar role)
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine tools and machining techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of tolerances and machining symbols
