HSE Manager (Health-Safety-Environment)

In this context of growth and operational excellence, our client is seeking a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to oversee the strategic and operational management of HSE programs within a manufacturing environment, in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

Your role
In collaboration with Operations Management, you will be responsible for:
- Defining, deploying, and evolving HSE policies, programs, and procedures across Quebec sites
- Ensuring alignment of practices and standards in collaboration with internal stakeholders, including the current HSE Coordinator
- Ensuring regulatory compliance in health, safety, and environmental matters (CNESST and other applicable requirements), including internal and external audits
- Acting as a subject matter expert to support teams in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
- Leading accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Monitoring and analyzing HSE performance indicators (KPIs) and recommending continuous improvement initiatives
- Working closely with corporate stakeholders on HSE-related matters
- Deploying prevention, training, and awareness initiatives to strengthen the HSE culture
- Acting as a visible, credible, and mobilizing on-the-ground leader for teams
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in team management
- Advanced level of English, essential for communication with corporate teams
- Strong communication skills
- High level of autonomy, initiative, and problem-solving ability
- Strong negotiation and complex problem-solving skills
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
