Senior Java Developer
We are currently looking for a Senior Java Developer for our client, a leading company that works in software solutions with features such as fundrais ing, content distribution and content customization for engagement campaign.
Job Summary The Java developer will actively participate in the development and maintenance of the web application, which manages all the workflow internally. Here are some of the features of this app: Import media and meta-data for hundreds of educational institutions Framing and aligning photos Editing and execution of the graphical definition of products and control of a bank of processors Definition and editing of products offered to customers Receiving and fulfilling customer orders Communication with our online store Interface with the accounting system Management of users and their permissions.
Responsibilities Clarify, document, design and implement in Java / JSP / JS new functionalities to meet sales and production requests (at backEnd and frontEnd le vel) Fix bugs, ensure the stability and reliability of the application Level 2 production support In collaboration with the Production Manager and Systems Specialist, improve workflow to reduce errors, increase productivity and customer satisfaction. Modernize the tracking available to customers for their products Work as a team with the Test department to complete the deployment of new features through to production Increase connectivity with SalesForce (customer relationship management software) to centralize business information in one place.
Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent; 10 years of business experience in the development of complex web applications. Excellent knowledge of Java, JSP, JS, HTML/CSS, JavaScript Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) Resin (or Tomcat or other J2EE technology) Basic web GUI design
Nice to Haves Experience working with images Experience with e-commerce (card management of credit card info, electronic payment, etc.) Knowledge of web security and encryption Experience with unit testing methodology (TDD) and test automation for web applications Knowledge of Linux
